The Magog Invasion–Farther Off Than We Think?

Some people believe that the invasion described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 happened already, in antiquity; that the prophet’s description was hyper-literal (large and small shields, bows, arrows, etc.). Some believe that it’s completely symbolic; symbolic of what, nobody knows. Some believe that it is Ezekiel’s perspective on the Armageddon campaign.

I don’t happen to hold any of those opinions. However, the current developments in the Middle East have me a bit confused.

See, as a fan of military history, I’ve long wondered at an aspect of the prophecy that I’ve never heard noted by Bible teachers and preachers: The Turks and Russians have been traditional enemies for centuries. (Their mutual animosity was the strongest undercurrent contributing to the Balkan tinderbox that sparked off the First World War.) The Russians have coveted warm water ports and Istanbul (formerly Constantinople; formerly Byzantium) for a long time, and the Turks can’t help but reminisce about the glory days of the Ottoman Empire. Yet, if Biblical and linguistic scholars are correct, Ezekiel prophesied an alliance between Russia and Turkey. Turkey is one of the first-string players in the coalition led by Gog, chief prince of Meschech and Tubal.

Indeed, Turkey, though a NATO country and somewhat westernized over the last century, seemed to be distancing itself from its NATO allies in recent decades, and re-embracing its Islamic roots while covertly pursuing a similar agenda in the Middle East as the Russians.

Now, I didn’t assume the Magog invasion was imminent, like some prophecy buffs. There were a few pieces that still had to fall into place–like some development which enables Israel to “dwell securely” in “unwalled cities” prior to this invasion. Also, Israel’s immediate surrounding neighbors are not included in the coalition lineup. This led me to lean toward the “Psalm 83 War” scenario bandied about for the last few years. If Israel goes to war against Syria, Lebonon (a Syrian puppet state), Gaza, Egypt and Jordan, and wipes the floor with them, that could give them opportunity to “dwell securely” afterward. Other puzzle pieces fall into place as well, like perhaps the destruction of Damascus and the exceeding renown of the IDF. And if the Israelis hold the territory of their enemies this time, rather than giving it back, they would be in possession of significant resources. The primary motivation of the invaders which Ezekiel mentions is a lust for plunder.

I tracked developments and saw how they were causing puzzle pieces to fall into place–like how the toppling of Saddam Hussein destabilized the region, made the current bloodbath inevitable, and could lead to World War III.

And yet, this downing of a Russian jet by Turkey seems to indicate that the alliance I thought I saw forming must be much farther off than I thought. Therefore the Magog invasion must be farther off, unless the names from the Genesis “Table of Nations” used by Ezekiel, long considered the ancestors of the Turks, have been misinterpreted.

Sometimes scholars assume a geographic identifier when the Bible actually used a genetic one…or vice-versa.

I have long ignored how Bible scholars I admire miss the historic fact that the Turks did not start out in the region of modernday Turkey. After all, they are respected Bible scholars and therefore must be correct, right?

The Turks came from the same region that spawned the Schythians, Huns, Mongols and Tartars. In other words, they all share a common ancestor: Magog. That means no Russo-Turkish alliance is truly required by Ezekiel’s prophecy.

And that means that a war between Russian and Turkish principals could very well be the catalyst of the invasion.

The Rider of the Black Horse

Revelation 6:

When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!”

Back in 2012 I blogged about how our economy was hijacked and replaced with a system designed to result in catastrophic failure.

That catastrophe is now staring us in the face.

Many harbingers are coalescing in the month of September, including the climax of the blood moons, the end of the shemitah year, Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanna, and the Pope is scheduled to give his New World Order speech at the United Nations on Yom Kippur…just to name a few.

The beginning of the end (that is: the great granddaddy of all stock market crashes) is expected by some to finally tip the collapse of the US dollar in September.

The wild see-sawing of stocks we’ve been seeing in the last week are probably pre-tremors. Birth pangs, if you will.

I’m not an economist or a stock speculator, and won’t pretend to know all the details of how this is going to go down; but the Bible has given us some important highlights.

The rider with the scales, and what is said about him, tells us that runaway inflation is coming. (Go figure: honest economists are only about 2000 years behind in predicting the same thing on our doorstep.) In the New World order, assuming you can find a paying job, a day’s wages is only going to provide the bare minimum you need to survive. And if you have luxury items (like oil or wine) you had better take care of them.

The US Dollar was replaced with Federal Reserve Notes a century ago, and the once-robust economy, industrial base and infrastructure were gradually poisoned and strangled into this position where collapse is inevitable. Failure by design. Our fiat currency (and most, if not all, currencies around the world) will crash soon. There may be some transitional regional currencies offered as the solution for a period of time, but we know from the Bible (and the objectives of the globalists) that ultimately there will be a one-world monetary system. Popular opinion doesn’t support such an economic consolidation…yet.

Remember that the conditions in Germany that most helped a genocidal despot rise to power were economic. The  runaway inflation got so ridiculous that it took a shopping cart full of DeutscheMarks to buy a loaf of bread. Fear and physical discomfort (like hunger and starvation) are the most effective motivations to cause people to do what they wouldn’t normally go along with.

There is a whole lot of fear and starvation headed your way, America.

Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling,
but a foolish man devours it.

Proverbs 21:20 ESV

A shrewd person sees danger and hides himself,
but the naive keep right on going and suffer for it.

Proverbs 22:3 NET

The word of the Lord came to me:  “Son of man, speak to your people, and say to them, ‘Suppose I bring a sword against the land, and the people of the land take one man from their borders and make him their watchman.  He sees the sword coming against the land, blows the trumpet, and warns the people, but there is one who hears the sound of the trumpet yet does not heed the warning. Then the sword comes and sweeps him away. He will be responsible for his own death. He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, so he is responsible for himself. If he had heeded the warning, he would have saved his life.'”

Normalcy Bias

From Wikipedia:

The normalcy bias, or normality bias, is a mental state people enter when facing a disaster. It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster and its possible effects. This may result in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations.

The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a certain disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It can result in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

Even inside the Church most people ignore the warnings God gave us. As we see the world aligning into a scenario we were warned about over 2,000 years in advance, we subscribe to Coincidence Theory and insist that, if it’s true at all, it can only affect future generations after our important, comfortable lives have played out normally.

American Christians are the worst culprits. We subscribe to Coincidence Theory and chant: “It can’t happen here; it can’t happen here.”

Even as it is happening here.

As what is happening, you ask? Complete economic collapse, at the bare minimum–on a scale that dwarfs the Great Depression of the 1930s. Also coming to the USA is chaos, genocide, enslavement, possibly civil war and nuclear fire.

I don’t know the day or the hour of our Lord’s return, and am not setting dates for that. But the United States of America is on the precipice of judgement. Even the wise among the unsaved can see this…through a glass, darkly.

I, and many others, have known for some time how close we are to the end. We have suffered the Cassandra Complex. I myself have stuck my head in the sand, after hearing so many people tell me I was too “gloom and doom,” and concentrated most of my efforts on pursuing personal ambitions as if life was just going to continue on like it always has.

Above all, understand this: In the last days blatant scoffers will come, being propelled by their own evil urges  and saying, “Where is his promised return (the Second Coming)? For ever since our ancestors died, all things have continued as they were from the beginning of creation.”

– 2 Peter 3:3-4

As the evidence piled up for the last 20-25 years, our normalcy bias has kicked into overdrive. I would not be surprised at all if there is an evil spirit specifically assigned to propagate normalcy bias.

A shrewd person sees danger and hides himself,
but the naive keep right on going and suffer for it.

– Proverbs 22:3

There is desirable treasure and olive oil in the dwelling of the wise,
but a foolish person devours all he has.

– Proverbs 21:20

As with so many disasters in my life, I listened to people rather than the Holy Spirit, and allowed normalcy bias to lull me into a trance. Before that, I followed the wisdom given to us via Proverbs (above), but now I find myself in a bad, bad position to face what is coming.

But God, in His supernatural longsuffering, has continued to remind me of His warnings, and the lateness of the hour. I’m repairing my state of preparation as best I can.

My trust is in the Lord. And I am finally doing my part, again.

If anyone is meant for captivity,
into captivity he will go.
If anyone is to be killed by the sword,
then by the sword he must be killed.

This requires steadfast endurance and faith from the saints.

– Revelation 13:10

I’ve made peace with this reality. But until my number is up, I have resolved to carry out the will of my Creator.

Have you?

Come Out of Her, My People

When the Supreme Court acts as just another cog in the Corruption Machine, rather than doing its job, it serves as a wake up call. Once awake for a hot second, people make some noise about Constitutionality. They poke holes in the air with their fingers, making bold resolutions about how, next election, we need to get some good people in office.

Then they go back to sleep.

Come election time, they vote for the same kind of candidates who made the nominations that gave us this lapdog Supreme Court.

And the devil marches on.

Just as the Israelites refused to heed the words of God’s prophets, the citizens of the USA chose to scoff and ridicule when warned in the past of what would happen to us if we didn’t alter our course. Now that the enemy’s grip on the soul of our country is ironclad, some of the former scoffers are finally wondering if maybe they should speak out a little more.

I’m sure that, when the Titanic was nearly sideways as the ocean pulled her down, some of the passengers were finally ready to consider that they should maybe speak out about the danger posed by icebergs.

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

“‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
    so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.”

– Revelation 18:4-5

The above passage is referring to Mystery Babylon. I won’t go into my longwinded musings on what all Mystery Babylon is symbolic of. For this post, I will merely point to evidence of one aspect of what I see as a threefold fulfilment.

Exhibit A:

Rulers all over the globe have made shady backroom deals with the country, and business people will get rich off her.

Rev. 18:3 “For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”

Exhibit B:

  • The nation symbolized here is a melting pot of many ethnicities and races.
  • Governments around the world hate her–especially the leadership of the emerging World Government.

Rev. 17:15-16 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.  The beast and the ten horns (kings) you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

Exhibit C:

Even though they hate her, the kings of the earth will weep and mourn when she is destroyed.

Rev. 18:9 “When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her.

Even though she is hated around the world, merchants will weep and mourn because she is no longer there to buy their stuff.

Rev. 18:11 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore…”

I ask you: what nation, what government, what people come to mind when you read those verses?

The evidence shows this is a powerful, influential nation at one point. But after its epic collapse, it becomes so insignificant as to not even rate mention in end time prophecies.

We can identify Russia, China, Iran, Turkey, and dozens of other nations (especially Israel) in prophecies of the end times, but not what is presently thought of as the world’s leading superpower.

So two truths are becoming more obvious with each passing day:

1. Leaders inside the Church who have made compromise after compromise to keep their tax exempt status will continue showing their true colors (which god they really serve) until organized religion in North America is no different from what it was in the Soviet Union.

The true Church has to move underground, and the sooner it does, the better prepared it will be to carry out the Lord’s will after our freedom is gone and life as we have known it is over.

2. The children of Israel are known to the God of Israel. He said He would gather them back to the land He gave them. We have seen this happening since the end of World War Two, but the process is not yet complete. There might still be more Jews in America than in Israel. They are comfortable here, and have enjoyed more prosperity here than they could have in any other country.

Again, that situation will change drastically; and soon.

Whether they have yet accepted their Messiah or not, all the offspring of Israel need to return to the land of their inheritance as soon as possible.

We are now in a grace period. Judgement is inevitable and so close it can be felt, for those who are awake and wise. I won’t claim to know exactly when it is, but that grace period has an expiration date.

And it is fast approaching.

Matthew 25:1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of the virgins were foolish, and five were wise. When the foolish ones took their lamps, they did not take extra olive oil with them. But the wise ones took flasks of olive oil with their lamps. When the bridegroom was delayed a long time, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied. ‘There won’t be enough for you and for us. Go instead to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 But while they had gone to buy it, the bridegroom arrived, and those who were ready went inside with him to the wedding banquet. Then the door was shut. 11 Later, the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’ 12 But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you!’ 13 Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour.

Romans 13: Blind Obedience to Public Servants is Commanded by God?

God-haters love to point out that the churches in Germany offered no resistance to Hitler…and they’re right.

Why? Because the Nazis convinced church leadership to emphasize Romans 13.

Preachers were discouraged from reading or quoting from the Bible to those they are supposed to comfort, and from mentioning the name of Jesus. The exception was Romans 13. Just like what’s happening now with the Clergy Response Teams.

As time goes on, you’re going to see blind obedience to the government stressed more and more in church, as more preachers sell out.

Historically this has happened right here in the USA, too. One time was before, during and after Hurricane Katrina.

Matthew 4:5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, had him stand on the highest point of the temple, 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you’ and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him, “Once again it is written: ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’”

What I want to point out to you with this passage is that THE DEVIL CAN QUOTE SCRIPTURE.

If the devil used this tactic against the Lord Jesus, then it makes sense that agents of the devil would use it against Christians. They will use the first few verses of Romans 13 and hope you don’t have enough knowledge to put it in context

Romans 13:Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God’s appointment, and the authorities that exist have been instituted by God. 2 So the person who resists such authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment 3 (for rulers cause no fear for good conduct but for bad). Do you desire not to fear authority? Do good and you will receive its commendation, 4 for it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be in fear, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer.

Before I go in deep on this, there’s a point that needs to be made. Every single person I’ve ever heard teach on this subject misses a huge, foundational truth:

Here in the United States of America, who is the rightful, legal authority?

  • The people are the rulers in the USA.
  • Constitution: “We the People in order to form a more perfect Union…”
  • Declaration of Independence: Government’s job is to protect our rights.
  • We elect public servants to enforce the law (Constitution).
  • Our public servants are in rebellion against our authority.

Our public servants nowadays want to be Caesar, and want us to be their subjects.

Their lust for power does not make it so.

We let them get away with acting like Caesar, and treating us like their subjects. That they get away with it also does not make it legal, or right.

A law does not cease to exist simply because someone gets away with breaking it. It certainly does not equal ordination by God.

So much for how that applies in America. So let’s set that aside for now.

If you’ve read enough of your Bible, or even if you know much about history, something about Romans 13 should bother you. Because it seems like it’s commanding us to blindly obey government, no matter who is in control and what kind of government it is.

When we read it in English it seems as if Soviet Russia, Nazi Germany and Red China were all established by God, and that to resist Stalin, Hitler or Mao was to defy God. (Some people, in fact, will say this.) So the Christians who hid Jews, for instance, who helped them escape the Nazis, were defying the ordinance of God. The Christians smuggling Bibles into China are defying the ordinance of God. Right?

Was Moses wrong to oppose Pharoah? Were Daniel and the 3 Hebrew boys wrong to disobey rulers who told them to worship other gods? When heathen rulers overran Israel, did God not raise up judges to fight against them? Peter and the apostles were arrested, jailed, beaten, and commanded to quit preaching the truth. But they kept preaching. Were they wrong? In the coming global Beast system, will it be a sin to resist taking the mark of the Beast?

According to God’s word, anyone who does take it will burn in the lake of fire, and the smoke of their torment will go up forever. (Revelation 14:9-11) Sounds like a catch-22 if that’s true.

The enemy likes to say God contradicts Himself, but that goes against God’s character. Whenever it seems like that, the issue is a lack of understanding on our part. Quite often this happens when the original text is translated into another language.

When you find a seeming contradiction in the Bible, that is a personal challenge to you to dig deeper. Study to show yourself approved. (2 Timothy 2:15)

In Romans 13 the word “authority/authorities” comes from the Greek work exousia. So I looked up where else that word was used, to see if there was a clue in how the Holy Spirit uses it.

There is a hint in Matthew 7 and Mark 1:

Then they went to Capernaum. When the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people there were amazed by his teaching, because he taught them like one who had authority, not like the experts in the law.

  • People were amazed.
  • He did not teach them like the experts in the law.
  • (They were the religious “authorities.”)
  • (They would later use that “authority” to have our Lord crucified.)
  • The people recognized that Jesus had legitimate authority.
  • There are two types of authority, here:
  • One is righteous authority, ordained by God. One is not.

When the human “authorities” demanded why the apostles disobeyed the statute against spreading the Gospel, Peter and the others said, “We must obey God rather than people.” (Acts 5:17-42.)

God doesn’t always recognize the same authority that people do. In fact, it’s often the opposite.

Just because someone is given authority by other people does not mean God ordained it.

  • Satan used part of the Bible in tempting Jesus when he was hungry.
  • Hitler used Romans 13 to usurp the church when Germans were hungry.
  • Somebody with human authority is going to deceive Christians by using Romans 13 when they are hungry, and scared, and suffering.

In these United States of America, it’s easy to identify who is the servant and who is the legal ruler; and who is rebelling against authority.

That is, it’s easy unless you lack knowledge.

Clergy Response Teams and Ravenous Wolves in Sheep-Drag

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

We know from Ephesians 6:12 that ultimately we’re not struggling against flesh and blood, but against a spiritual enemy. However, your spiritual enemy usually operates through people.

We see all through the Bible how our enemy uses deception to trap us, as individuals, as nations, and one day all who dwell on the Earth.

In fact, deception will only get stronger as we approach the end of this age.

Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. 23 But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.

Even the Elect would be deceived—if that were possible. That tells you that the most intelligent, perceptive, discerning people who ever lived would fall for the coming deception…if they don’t have the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Himself warned us that He brings division, not peace. When you love and follow the truth, enemies will arise among your very friends and family members.

Don’t take the word “enemy” lightly. We were warned that they’ll be willing to have you put to death. (Mark 13:12).

When mass insanity (evil) grips the world, so that every step is fraught with danger and anyone might betray you at any time, the one person you’re likely to trust is a pastor—especially one from your own church.

1 Timothy 4: 1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared.

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.”

One source of good information on the “Clergy Response Teams” is The Common Sense Show:

On December 31, 2011, Barack Hussein Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law which in addition to allocating $662 billion to the Pentagon also contains a measure which allows U.S. citizens to be taken into custody and held indefinitely without ever being charged with a crime.

Not only can any citizen deemed a threat to “national security interests of the United States,” be held forever without receiving a trial, but the military will be the ones arresting those citizens.

NDAA Section 1022, subsection c allows “(1) Detention under the law of war without trial until the end of the hostilities authorized by the Authorization for Use of Military Force.”

Revelation 13:9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.

10 “If anyone is to go into captivity,
into captivity they will go.
If anyone is to be killed with the sword,
with the sword they will be killed.”

This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

Daniel 11:33 These who are wise among the people will teach the masses. However, they will fall by the sword and by the flame, and they will be imprisoned and plundered for some time. 34 When they stumble, they will be granted some help. But many will unite with them deceitfully.

There’s a preacher by the name of Mansfield who was recruited into the CRT, and he blew the whistle on what it’s all about. He learned of the government’s plan to implement forced population relocations.

(If anyone is to go into captivity…)

Family members will be separated from each other and part of the training that the clergy received was how to comfort separated family members.

Pastor Mansfield emphasized that the FEMA/DHS drills were predicated on bioterrorism.

Church leaders were trained to go to homes were people refused to be relocated by the authorities and their immediate job was to convince the reluctant to willingly go to the relocation camps. Ostensibly, this was to be done in lieu of sending in the SWAT teams.

Much of the clergy training focused around this scenario of pastors operating within the forced relocation centers. The main goal of a pastor assigned to a FEMA district was to bring order and encourage compliance with DHS requests.

The pastors were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements. Interestingly, the pastors were told not to quote Scripture.

Except for one part.
You can probably guess what it is. We’ll get into it next time.

Who Can You Trust in the Days Ahead?

Since the prophecies of the Messiah’s first coming were fulfilled literally, it is only sensible to believe that the prophecies of His second coming (of which there are more) will also be fulfilled.

Unless God changed His mind. Or He’s not as powerful as He once was. Or His word is just a cosmic prank.

For those who can read the signs of the times, it is obvious that we are on the cusp of a great upheaval, and the world as we know it will soon come to an end. At some point after this great upheaval, the time period Daniel and John wrote so much about will begin. The prophets and Jesus Himself warned extensively about what will happen during this time period.

We were warned in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that a great apostasy is coming.

Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Luke 12:51 “Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division. 52 For from now on in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?”

Matthew 10:34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.”

Mark 13:12 “And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. 13 And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Luke 21:16 “You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death.”

I hope, for your sakes, you understand that you can’t trust politicians, the media, the police, the military, etc. But our Lord and the prophets warned us repeatedly that other believers are going to turn on us and betray us, too.

You would think the one person you could trust, when the world is upside down, would be a somebody from your church.

I’ve recently become aware of something called “Clergy Response Teams.” This is just another trend that is showing us how close we are to the time period the Bible has been warning us about. Certain government agencies have been enticing church leadership into playing the Judas goat for their flocks when the time comes. What is alarming is that a whole lot of church leadership is signing onto the program.

26,000-to-28,000 as of 2006. I plan to cover this subject in some detail in future posts.

On one of my pages I shared a hypothesis I’ve had for a few years now that the Russians might build a “dirty” atomic warhead and name it after Chernobyl, or there might be another nuclear disaster, worse than the first, and be called “Chernobyl II” or something. I started thinking this way while reading what Revelation says about the star called Wormwood.

This has not yet been confirmed to my knowledge (and when events are covered up, they are very difficult for normal people to confirm…just sayin’) but there are rumors leaking out about some sort of meltdown at the Zaporizhia nuclear plant in Ukraine. The plant is the largest in Europe, maybe the world (six reactors), according to the report I heard. Somebody hacked the Twitter accounts of two of the bigwigs in charge of the plant and, if the messages are legitimate, it sounds pretty scary. One of those involved referred to it as “another Chernobyl.”

Chernobyl means “wormwood” by the way, and the description in Revelation of the resulting “bitter water” and what it does to people who drink it sounds just like radiation poisoning.

Knowledge Increasing

The prophet Daniel was told to seal up certain prophecies until the time of the end. And during those end times, he told us, knowledge would be increased.

In the midst of these scary and tragic times, it’s encouraging to see how God is moving. It’s also exciting to see how He’s giving understanding to those who seek the truth.

I needed to look up something recently, and searched for it in the archives (“pages”) of this blog. While doing so, a couple things struck me:

1) the depth and detail of what I wrote there is just too much. It’s tedious. I’ve really got to do it differently in the future.

2) in many ways, my understanding has matured past where it was when I wrote the Revelation overview; about the throne room; and about the seals and trumpets.

There are a few specific items I now believe I was off-track on. I will probably explore them in the future…so if it seems my posts contradict something I said in the archives, that’s why.

In the past I quit reading books others have written about eschatology because the authors struck me as so sloppy/lazy/just plain wrong it just annoyed me too much to continue. That goes for listening to teaching on the subject or watching movies about it, etc (the exception being Chuck Missler–I didn’t always agree with him either, but I could still learn from him). But after attending the Orlando Prophecy Conference earlier in 2014, I began chasing down the previous work of some who spoke there. That led me to other folks, and I’m still chasing down detours and rabbit trails as a result.

My own passion for the Word has reignited as my eyes have been opened to new possibilities. There are some folks who I believe are barking up the wrong tree…yet even some of them have made breakthroughs of understanding in some areas.

The very fact that understanding is being apportioned and spread out across the body of Christ means no one human being can take the credit for the explosion of prophetic knowledge. And rightly so.

The Coming Race Wars

In Matthew 24 Jesus briefly summarizes the end times. He introduces it with a warning not to be deceived, then a sample of signs that are like birth pains leading up to the climax of history, including this sign:

“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.”

This has often been interpreted to mean “wars and civil wars.” That does make sense, and certainly reflects what we’ve been seeing with increasing frequency and intensity.

However, a friend recently pointed out the Greek text this was interpreted from, which makes this prophecy even more specific, more alarming, and more relevant to what we see going on: the word “nation” was translated from the word “ethnos.” That should sound familiar to you–it’s the root of words we use like “ethnic” and “ethnicity.”

In other words, Jesus was using the term “nation” according to its Biblical definition (as in Genesis, for instance) instead of our modern definition of a nation as a strictly political entity. Which of course makes sense, though I can’t number how many times I’ve read this prophecy in English and never considered that possibility. It seems the Messiah was predicting race wars.

Indeed, well before this insight, I could see the effects of our enemy fomenting racial strife. And I don’t mean just the redneck or white supremacist kind–though that’s the only kind you’ll ever see portrayed in movies or on TV, or hear acknowledged in the news.

Some insist that it’s impossible for a non-white individual to be a racist; but that’s not only a bald-faced lie, the assertion itself is racist. It assumes that those with a certain skin color or genetic strand are morally superior, simply by virtue of their being born with that skin color or genetic strand.

I am surrounded by Hispanics and African-Americans on a daily basis. While they certainly have prejudices against each other, their hatred of whites (white male heterosexuals in particular) becomes more blatant by the day.

In fact, racial strife is a lucrative industry. There are those whose livlihoods depend on maintaining racial hatred.

Professional_Race_BaitersThe news media edited the 911 recording related to the Trayvon Martin case in order to sell it as a racially motivated crime. There has been careful manipulation of the facts surrounding the Ferguson, Missouri incident as well, in order to define the conflict along racial lines. In both cases the manipulation is geared toward heightening the emotional response among African-Americans to a perceived widespread anti-black conspiracy.

Not that it’s very funny, but it’s an old joke by now how knee-jerk accusations of racism are slung at anyone who dares to criticize the words or actions of Barrack Hussein Obama. These accusations are hurled with straight faces after some 95% of registered (living, legal) black voters cast their ballots for the candidate whose skin color is most like their own.

Whereas the abolitionists and Republican-led civil rights efforts concentrated on assimilation–that is, equality by assuring individual rights are protected regardless of the ethnic background of the individual; the Democrat hijacking of the Civil Rights movement has concentrated on Balkanization via racial identity, locking minorities into subcultures that would increasingly identify themselves as victim classes. Of course there is little difference between the political parties anymore. They differ in degrees; not principle. It’s more like a good cop/bad cop skit than an actual two-party system.

In the wake of both the Trayvon Martin and Ferguson, Missouri media blitzes, I witnessed an avalanche of stories about black-on-white crime that goes unreported by the mainstream media, as well as photos and reports which reveal the martyrs in this brewing race war are not the innocent victims they are cracked up to be. I didn’t help spread any of this–not because I endorse or approve of censorship, double standards, selective reporting and agenda-driven journalism, but because sparking a significant backlash regarding this topic could possibly cause exactly the sort of racist zeitgeist that the Victim Status Addicts (VSAs) imagine lurking behind every tree.

race-card-obamaThe backlash will likely occur even without my assistance. White male heterosexuals are feeling increasingly disenfranchised already. They’re the only demographic without a host of advocacy groups, scholarships, PACs, sympathizers, etc.; they’re the only ones for whom it is considered unacceptable to express pride in their ethnicity, sex or sexuality…and the list goes on.

Those who are manipulatable through their emotions, of whatever genetic strand, are already harboring resentment for those who are ethnically different because of what’s going on. And of course a bigot (of whatever color) is usually blind to the racial prejudice within themselves.

With the looming financial collapse in North America, the trigger-happy militarized police and some other factors, it won’t take much at all to inflate the current race-based suspicions and resentment into full-blown hatred. And it’s not hard to imagine how that will lead to organized violence. A very costly lesson is ready to be learned: nationalism is not dangerous only when embraced by German socialists; it will bring out the ugliness of the carnal heart within any faction.

Sadly, the Church is not immune. Among African-Americans in particular, self-identity is most often defined as black first; Christian second (at best); American last. And few have the courage to suggest there’s anything wrong with that.

The melting pot has become a powder keg.
