Time For Believers to Move Past Denial

I’m about to share a truth that I’ve had trouble accepting as much or possibly more than you.

What I see happening in and to America grieves my heart and infuriates me, but it’s time to stop tipping at windmills.

We have lost the battle for the soul of America.

We have lost the culture war. We have lost the political war. In fact, the war was lost at least a generation ago, and by the time I was born any hope for peaceful repair of our Judeo-Christian constitutional republic had passed. The political and cultural struggles I and others have been engaged in are merely mop-up operations by the enemy–surrounding and neutering pockets of resistance.

If you’re like me, you recognized this intellectually, but were still compelled to fight the good fight against hopeless odds. But here’s a bitter pill we have to swallow: even if America as we knew it were to survive another 20 years, we would still have no chance of waking up our ovine countrymen to what’s truly going on and what should be done about it. Nothing is going to penetrate their conditioned brains and get them to except reality short of the destruction we’ve so vainly tried to warn them about. And of course by then it will be too late for the knowledge to do them any good. And they will be be led to draw the wrong conclusions anyway, and be sold more perverse lies, robbing us even that small satisfaction.

Very few individuals left in the world could actually benefit from knowing how we got to this point and who is to blame–if they could ever accept it anyway. So why are we spending so much time trying to educate our thick-skulled neighbors on history? Even if they were intellectually capable of learning from it (which 99% of them are not), we are approaching the conclusion of history. Time is up.

The American republic was an historic anomaly. There never was a nation like her and never can be again. We were blessed to have grown up even with the dwindling freedom, opportunity and prosperity she afforded while suffering the death of a thousand cancers, but life as we know it is about to end permanently and there’s nothing we can do to stop it.

For a while we could clutch at straws–zeroing in on lone verses in Ezekiel or Daniel suggesting that America might survive up until the end and might even arguably be a “good guy” on the world stage. But those desperate hopes have been crushed while good men did nothing and allegedly good men gave the enemy the rope with which to hang us. The America we loved is absent in the end-time scenario the Bible presents, which means by the time of the end

  1. She has become so insignificant (a 3rd-world police state) as to not be worth mentioning, or
  2. She has been destroyed.

#1 is so close and obvious to anyone with a functional brain that even non-believers can see it. #2 is a much more realistic possibility than any of us want to believe. Frankly, it’s hard to say which one would be worse. You will either die as a result of starvation, nuclear holocaust or NWO takeover, or you will be enslaved…if you fail to accept the coming radical change to reality and adapt your mindset.

I’ll discuss this more in future, but most churches (yes, including protestant, including evangelical) will be absorbed into the New World Religion and their congregants will become your enemies. The true church is gonna have to go underground.

The coming changes are going to rip families apart just as Jesus warned. Family and people you thought were friends will betray you. Fellow believers will be tortured and murdered for their faith. Basically, the Church in America will suddenly face the kind of persecution Christians in other parts of the world face, only much, much worse. American Christians, unfortunately, will learn what “patient endurance” means.

But what about a pre-tribulational rapture?

I have come to believe that position myself. But nowhere in the Bible are we told we will maintain our life of present convenience right up until Jesus returns for His bride. In fact, He promised we would suffer for His name, did He not?

The Church will have to move underground, as it was in the days when the Romans fed Christians to the lions. We will have to be as wise as serpents, because the innocent as doves routine will not be enough in the New World Order. That means we should start preparing for that now.

Will we still evangelize? Of course. That is our primary mission. But our lives will depend on us being as wise as serpents when doing so. Throwing your pearls to pigs can and will prove fatal in the times soon coming.

(One sub-task I’m burdened with is getting New Testaments into the hands of Israelis, so that (if pre-tribbers are right) they will have their Messiah’s instructions in hand when they need it most, and accept the One they have pierced.)

So how do we establish the Underground Church?

Author: Elijah Dispatched

I never doubted the existence of God. I thank my parents for that. Even so, most of my life could be summed up as a shameful rebellion against Him. Still, even when living like a reprobate heathen, I still occasionally studied the Bible. I found it just as confusing and seemingly contradictory as most people, yet I could also discern there was power in it, and truth beyond my finite reckoning. After finally admitting to my Creator, "You are God and I am not," my study of the Bible became a bit more intensive. I have learned much, and will learn much more. I plan on sharing some of that here.
